Laiya Coco Grove Beach Resort



LAIYA COCO GROVE is located in the municipality of San Juan, Batangas province, on Sigayan Bay, which is the northern coastline of the Verde Island Passage. Sigayan Bay has six kilometers of beach and water frontage with preserved mangrove areas. The terrain is a level to gently rolling coastal plain surrounded by high ground and mountains of up to 705 meters above sea level (Mt. Daguldol).

Laiya Coco Grove Resort Complex is unusually spacious with surrounding beach, mountain, and marine environments that enhance the tropical resort setting. The improvements that have been introduced make Laiya’s natural attributes enjoyable for a day, a weekend, or several days holiday stay. Their guests have a wide range of options – from camping to air-conditioned tree houses - their own cookouts at several picnic locations or hearty and wholesome meals at the Pavilion. In addition to pure relaxation, peace, and privacy, there are recreational and sports activities for the whole family.




Facilities & Amenities

Laiya Coco Grove Beach Resort, as the name implies, is abundant in coconut trees surrounding the area, making their guests feel very close to a more relaxing environment. Aside from other sports facilities, they provide other amenities featuring both recreational and nature-tripping opportunities.

Swimming pool - located near the beach and is surrounded by a large deck area, deliberately shallow (4 feet throughout) with a circular kiddie-pool area.
Tennis-cum-basketball court - available on first-come-first-serve basis, guests are requested to bring their own rackets and balls.


Beach volleyball - any number of informal courts can be provided.
Horse-back riding - native ponies suitable for horseback riding for children and lighter adults, nominal fee is charged for the rental of the ponies and saddles, and handlers.
Trampoline, darts, board games, playing cards are available to resort guests.


Sailing - a single individual, a family or group of friends who want to experience something new and exciting during their holiday, should seriously consider the sailing option.
Kayaks and Pedal boats - recreational watercraft may be used along Sigayan Bay’s six kilometers of shoreline or while fishing at the fresh-water lake, nominal fees and safety rules apply.

Snorkeling - guided excursions can be arranged to nearby coral gardens.
Nature Parks - trails and entertaining features including Flying Fox (an adventure ride), hanging bridge and nature trails. Besides the experience of hiking through dense tropical vegetation, the nature parks are venues for corporate team building and scouting activities.



Golf Driving Range - consists of a 350-yard driving range and a clubhouse with locker rooms for gentlemen and ladies.Visitors are invited to work on their swing while enjoying the scenic vistas that surround Laiya. A nominal fee applies. The Clubhouse building is an alternative venue for private meetings and social functions.




Laiya Coco Grove Pavilion - an 800-sq. m. structure that incorporates restaurant, bar, lounge, office, and reception areas. It seats 130-140 guests for meals and 20 guests at the bar and lounge areas. For special functions, the Pavilion provides all-weather seating for 200 guests. It provides both buffet and a la carte food service. Specialties are fresh seafood dishes and grilled or barbecued selections.


Camp Laiya - a shaded, lighted and secure area for camping purposes. With free access to comfort and changing rooms, showers, cooking facilities, picnic tables, benches, and an area for bonfires at night. The site can easily accommodate 10 large tents or 60 persons for an overnight or extended camping experience. Guests may bring their own tents, and are expected to bring their own utensils but the camp can provide at a nominal fee tents and bedding for about 40 campers. As a day-visit area, the campgrounds can accommodate 100 or more guests.





Accommodations

The design of all Laiya Coco Grove accommodations has the family in mind as well as domestic market preferences. All rooms are more spacious than what is normally expected. All air-conditioned rooms have covered terraces for their guests. Furniture, fixtures and finishing, accentuate rural and, definitely, Philippine ambiance.

Tree Houses





Laiya Coco Grove’s tree houses are truly unique accommodations, since the design considers the structure of the tree hosting the house. All units are air-conditioned with their own toilets and showers and each unit has a covered patio provided with chairs and tables. All tree houses are beachfront, and the view from their elevated bedrooms provides a spectacular view of the sea and the mountains.




Laiya Coco Grove has 7 Tree Houses with a total of 9 bedrooms. They hav an air-conditioned living room with two daybeds. A total of 36 guests based on 4-guests-per-room can sleep comfortably on the tree houses.



Pool-side Cottages




Pool-side Cottages are air-conditioned rooms equipped with either 2 queen-size or 4 single beds for a total of 40 guests. These spacious rooms accommodate 4 to 6 guests, particularly if 2 of them are the younger members of the family. They have a total of 10 pool-side cottages where guests have a perfect view of the beach and pool.





Bahay Kubo




There is a big air-conditioned Bahay Kubo which sleeping capacity is more than 20 persons dormitory style. The kubo has 4toilets, baths and lockers.

  1. We were in Laiya Coco Resort for 1 week from 15 to 22 january 2014. Good resort, quiet place, nice experience on Tree House, worker are friendly, food is good, everything like showing in the picture,
    but for go to beach need to take a jeep provided from Resort, if you want your room clean or change linen need to ask.
    Some mosquito lamp or candle shoud be fitted because before sleep need to kill it...
